Description: This tropical seabird has a length of 38 to 45 cm and a wingspan of 75 to 86 cm. The bird’s features include a short, incomplete white eye ring, pale grey or white crown forehead, and dark chocolate-brown plumage. The legs and feet of the brown noddy are black in color, and it has a long, wedge-shaped tail.
Distribution: Hawaii, the Tuamotu Archipelago, the Caribbean, the Seychelles, Australia, and Tristan da Cunha are among the places in the world where brown noddy is found. The PM Sayeed Marine Birds Conservation Reserve in Lakshadweep, India, offers protection for this species. A colonial bird, the brown noddy builds its nests among small trees or bushes or on cliff faces.
