Scientific Name: Dendrobium nobile
Description: Typically, this orchid grows on a tree’s trunk or branches. The flowers range in hue from light to dark purple, and they have a dark, maroon-colored patch around the base. The blossoming season, which spans approximately six weeks, begins in March.
Uses: Dendrobium nobile’s lovely, long-lasting blossoms give it significant horticultural value. The leaf and stem of this epiphytic shrub have yielded several significant therapeutic chemicals, including dendrobine and dendroxine.
