Arunachal Macaque
- Distribution: Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern India, Myanmar, Tibet
- Habitat: Tropical and subtropical forests, mountains
- Diet: Omnivorous, fruits, leaves, insects
- Size: Height ranges around 50-60 cm
Physical Characteristics:
- Medium-sized monkey with a sturdy build.
- Typically greyish-brown fur with a darker face and lighter underside.
- Prominent cheek pouches and a short tail.
Distribution:
- Found in northeastern India (especially Arunachal Pradesh), Myanmar, Tibet, and adjacent regions.
Habitat:
- Primarily inhabits tropical and subtropical forests, including montane forests and hilly terrain.
- Can also be found in forested areas near human settlements.
Behavior:
- Typically found in troops led by dominant males.
- Diurnal (active during the day) and arboreal (spends most of its time in trees).
