Collared Myna

Originally from South Asia, the Collared Myna (Acridotheres albocinctus) is mostly found in regions of Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, and Nepal.
The Collared Myna is a medium-sized bird that gets its name from the characteristic white collar around its neck and glossy black plumage. Their length is usually between 23 and 25 cm. They have brilliant yellow wattles surrounding their eyes, and their bills are yellowish-orange in color.
They live in a range of situations, such as urban settings, agricultural areas, scrublands, and open forests. mostly found in Assam and other areas of the Eastern Himalayas in northeastern India.
Collared Mynas feed opportunistically and omnivorously. They consume a variety of foods, such as fruits, seeds, insects, small vertebrates, and, in metropolitan settings, even leftover human food.
These birds are frequently observed in small groups or pairs. They are renowned for producing a wide range of vocalizations, including as loud yells and melodic whistles.
